Hey how's it going? My name is Kyle Raum and I'm a graphic designer currently based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. You may be wondering, "What's with the hand signals over there?" Well, allow me to explain via anecdote. When I was interning in NYC, there was another intern also named Kyle who started at the exact same time and was from the exact same school. The key difference was that he was an interior designer and I, as I have said, am a graphic designer. To help differentiate the two Kyle's our coworkers dubbed me '2D' and the interior design Kyle as '3D'. So the hand signals over there are more or less just a non-verbal representation of a representation of myself...if that makes any sense.
Like many other designers these days I enjoy past times such as reading novels, listening to music, watching movies and tv shows, drinking and sometimes making beer, and fancying myself far more interesting than I probably am. Unlike most designers, however, I spent the last year teaching English in South Korea and traveling around South East Asia. Whether or not it aided my career as a designer is hard to say. Whether or not I learned a few things, well, that's a no brainer. Now I'm back and looking to dive into the world of finely kerned letters and painfully scrutinized anchor points. So please, take a look at my work, download my resume, and toss me an email if you're interested in working together. I look forward to hearing from you.
